Leopard Nails

This season seems to be all about the "shattered" or "crackled" effect on top of tips, but if your like me, your already pretty sick of this trend, as all your friends by now have jumped on the bandwagon. Well, I've come up with the perfect alternative. Leopard nails! Now, this super-cute nail has been around forever, so if anything I'm a little late on this... but after doing my research, a.k.a youtube videos, blogs, I've found all of there tutorials a little bit... confusing! Way to much work, and if your like me, you can't even do nail art, or let alone konad stamp your nail... But, with some practise I think I've perfected the perfect leopard nail! Tell me what you think, and expect a tutorial sometime this week!

China Glaze - Bahamian Escape

I don't quite know what it is about blue nail polish but boy oh boy, I love it!! This blue in particular defines my love for blue polish. It's the perfect shade of blue. It's light enough were it is most definitely described as a baby blue, but not too light were it washes me out... or worse, its streaky (gasp!) Although the colour itself is not very unique, it's still refreshing and a great shade.

As usual, China Glaze brings us this beautiful blue two-coater that dries perfectly and applies equally so. I would highly recommend purchasing this! It's perfect for both the spring and summer that better come NOW! Hurry up!

What do you think? Do you like this baby blue? Or do you like blue polish in general?

My biology Exam

Sitting in the exam room, everyone sits writing. Its almost as if they all had lessons without me there. What on earth could they possibly be filling in besides pictures? I have no idea. I have no idea what they couldve possibly filled in.
The only good thing in this exam room is my nails. They are painted a perfect dark purple. Not took dark were it looks black, but a simple dark shade of that colour purple we know and love. Similar to my brain, my fingers nails are not gonna help me pass this biology exam. Its time to be realistic and weigh the options.
 A) that fake seizure I've always thought about but were too scared to actually try...
I mean, I've always thought about it. But I guess I was too scared to do it. But let's be realistic itd be kinda fun! Rolling around on the floor shaking? That's a lot more fun then this exam.
 B) the burst into tears- convincing lie of scarring event that convientley took place right before this exam
C) the asthma atack
So? I've never had any signs or asthma prior to this exam. But u know what they say! Its never too late! Yes that line doesn't usually refer to self brought asthma to get out of there eleventh grade bio exam, but ya gotta take the chance! Try somthing new...but desperate times call for desperate measures. And let's just say right now. I'm pretty fucking desperate.
 D) actually try and fill stuff in on this exam... So easy to say so impossible to really do. Now I'm jsut convincing myself I can do the impossible. Need me even say this idea is completely unrealistic
Let me give you an actual question from my actual impossible actual exam... Actually no. I'm not gonna put u thru this emotinal distress and myslef by even reading it.

FML. Moral of the story? Come save me!

Preview: Justin Bieber Nail Polish

I don’t care what anybody else thinks, or what you interpret from this article but et me just say, I DON'T HATE HIM! Now I'm not saying I listen to his music every day, and have "bieber fever" but what I am saying is everybody is entitled to like there music... although the one thing that does bother me about this, is that this is a complete sell out. I mean come on! He's a sixteen, seventeen year old boy, he doesn't wear nail polish! Nicole by OPI is just selling this because they know for a fact they can make money off him. I mean, come on!

Anyways, "The One Less Lonely Girl" collection will be launched in December 2010 at Walmart with six shades. Another six will be released in January 2011, (don't know why they wouldn't all be released before Christmas...but whatever)

The One Less Lonely Girl Collection

  • One Less Lonely Glitter (lavender)
  • Me + Blue (dark blue)
  • OMB! (bright red)
  • Give Me The First Dance (silver)
  • Prized Possession Purple (grape)
  • Step 2 the Beat of My Heart (heart-shaped glitter)

What do you think?  Are you going to purchase this polish despite the Bieber association with it? Or be more inclined BECAUSE of the association with it?  Does it even matter if a celebrity is involved if you like the colours? Tell me what you think!!

P.S If you check out Nicole by OPI's twitter you can see pictures of the polish!

Preview: Serena Williams and the Grand Slam Collection

SerenaWilliamsJuly08.jpg

OPI brings us a sneak peek at the Serena Williams Grand Slam Collection. The colour is a metallic green, almost a tennis ball green. Also it will be paired with OPI's first crackle nail polish, Black Shatter. I love how they changed the top for this! The first of four will be released in January to coincide with the Australian Open. Each colour will represent different tennis tournaments, such as Australian Open, French Open, U.S Open, and Wimbledon!!

I'm so happy Serena Williams is opening getting her own nail polish line- I mean, besides being an absolutely amazing tennis player, she has a serious love for nail polish! Besides getting a manicure 3-4 times a week she even has become a certified nail technician! Such an amazing inspiration she is to do what you love!

Preview: Essie Winter Collection

The Essie Winter collection. Ahhhhhhhhh. Essie. Can you just try and step outside of your comfort zone? Try a glitter. Try somthing COOL and INTERESTING! I've seen Silken Cord, which is a bright Red. Masquerade Ball reminds me of Essie's Wicked. Hot Coco looks like either a light brown or gray. Smokin' Hot looks pretty brown. Going Incognito actually is really pretty that looks like my favourite. Luxedo is a dark purple? Remind anyone of OPI's Linkin Park before Midnight? Hmmm... Which ones do you like?

Social Networking

Social networking is really popular right now and incredibly revolutionary... It changes the entire way we socialize, at the click of a button! Seriously! Haha, It's really cool to think websites like facebook, twitter, myspace, all came in my lifetime! But I came upon a site thats different then twitter, different from facebook and everything else. Instead of an overall social networking website, it's social networking with a very specific topic. Social networking that revolves around one thing. And this one thing just happens to be something I enjoy very much...

This website is called Steepster. And it's specifically and only for tea lovers! Here, you write are connected to an online tea journal. You can share a log of teas you drink, include ratings, tasting notes and preparations of details like steep times and temperatures. It's also easy to find teas to try by showing you what your friends are drinking. And by friends, we mean people you follow on and who follow you on Steepster. You have discussions, which talk about ideas, tea-tips, preparation ideas, promotions, and interesting ideas. It's a fun place to talk about tea! Simple and easy to use, I recommend you trying out Steepster!
